About Us
The Village of Tremont City is part of the Springfield, Ohio metropolitan area, located in Clark County.

The village was originally known as Treemount because of the settlement situated at the base of a hill covered with large trees. In 1839, a post office called Tremont was established. Following in 1877, the area was rename as Tremont City.

Tremont has a total area of 0.26 square miles with approx. of 380 residents and several businesses. The village also has its own Council, Magistrate Court, Police Department and contracts with the German Twp. Fire Department for fire and medical services.
