Tremont City Magistrate Court is held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm.

Bond Sheet

Tremont City has what is referred to as a "Mayors Court" but utilizes a "Magistrate" to operate the court on behalf of the Mayor. The magistrate court hears cases that come before the mayor’s court, but the appointed magistrate is a licensed attorney.
 
 Judge Albert Stewart serves as the villages Magistrate and hears all minor misdemeanor traffic cases and minor misdemeanor criminal cases.
 
Unless otherwise marked on your citation or bond sheet, you are not required to appear in court. If you wish to simply just pay your traffic citation. You can do so by the following options;

MAIL
     If you choose to mail your payment. Please enclose your payment inside the provided pre addressed envelope, along with the blue copy of your citation. 
 
                                                                                                                                                     
In Person
                                   If you wish to pay in person you can contact the Court Clerk at (937) 605 - 4580 and make arrangements to do so.
 
                                                                                                                                                     
Drop Box
       You can also drop your payment into the night deposit box affixed to the front of the Tremont City Municipal Building located at 26 E. Main St. Tremont City, Ohio 45372


ALL payments must be a cashier check or money order made out to Tremont City Magistrate Court for the bond amount that is written on your bond sheet.   If you pay in person, you may pay with cash.
 
 
 
 
(NOTE) If you choose to simply pay the citation. You the defendant are waiving your rights to contest the citation and to have a trial. By doing so you will automatically be found guilty of the offense in which you were cited for. 
 
(NOTE) You have 30 days from the court date on your citation to pay your bond amount in full. Failure to pay the citation within 30 days will result in the cancellation of your driver's license and the issuance of a warrant for your arrest. A $100.00 reinstatement fee will also be assessed in addition to the original bond.
